HR Director, Finland & Baltics

We are looking for a driven and experienced HR Director to lead the HR of Business Area Finland & Baltics. HR Director drives, ensures and executes Paulig Group’s people priorities through professional implementation of HR policies, practices and services in the Business Area (BA). As a member of BA Leadership team she/he actively supports BA LT members and coordinates business specific issues and projects across the HR network. As a member of HR Leadership team HR Director is key in developing common HR practices and processes across Paulig Group.

This is a temporary parental leave substitute position (approximately one year) and the preferred starting time would be as soon as possible in the autumn. Location is our modern head office in Vuosaari, Helsinki.

Responsibilities of the role: 

  • Identifies needed people actions and strategies, provides proactively his/her views on strategic HR needs based on business strategy, such as organizational design, change management, resourcing, new competencies, competence development, headcount planning, changes in roles & responsibilities
  • Contributes to the BA strategy process by ensuring HR input and point of view, and vice versa
  • Management of key strategic resources & competences in the BA level 
  • Supports the SVP BA and other LT members to enhance the performance of their people 
  • Drives employee engagement activities and monitors employee engagement action planning from BA perspective
  • Leads the Talent Management and annual Talent Review process at BA 
  • HR Owner of transformational and development programs and projects
  • Communicates and ensures implementation of Paulig Group common HR policies and processes in BA
  • Leads the country HR´s and operational HR activities in BA Finland & Baltics 
  • Leads and/or participates in projects based on past experience and interests

What we appreciate: 

  • 6-10 years of experience from HR management positions in an international business environment. International experience especially from Finland & Baltics is highly appreciated. 
  • Strong communication, influencing and decision making skills and Can Do –attitude combined with customer focus. Good commercial awareness, proactive person used to working across functions and locations. 
  • Strong ability and genuine will to work in a collaborative manner and in various teams, including leading of work streams and managing projects. Ability to foresee the impact of and lead change. 
  • Solid understanding of HR metrics & analysis, HRIS. Understanding of other HR processes related to the employment lifecycle. 
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Fluent written and spoken English. Fluency in Finnish and/or Baltic languages is an asset.
